Good Friday
"The Good Friday service is different to all other services. For a start, the church is completely bare - all decorations have been removed including the cloths on the altar and the lectern. The service takes place at 3o'clock - the time that Jesus died on the cross. There are readings from St. John's Gospel which go through Jesus' crucifixion up to His death and which explain how His death is seen as a sacrifice by Christians - a sacrifice which frees people from sin.
