“Work hard and play hard” is our motto. From the beginning to the end, our year is packed full of activities both in and out of the classroom. Academically, we aim to cover most of the syllabus for Common Entrance in the core subjects along with equally challenging work in others. In Geography, we study the different climate zones and in Art and DT we use different media, often reinforcing topics being studied across the curriculum. In French we continue to study La Jolie Ronde but enact more role-plays in familiar situations. We visit Sayers Croft for three days as part of our studies in Geography and in Science and go on trips to Hampton Court and a Rainforest in Berkshire. Always, when Open Day comes round, we find ourselves asking,”Where on earth did this year go to?” as it passes so quickly.
