In this project, SchoolNet Global students describe many aspects of the country in which they live using their own words and pictures.

The completed student work will contribute to an archive of personal comment about many different countries. Included in the work will be the unique view of youngsters living in disparate locations around the globe. Participants will have the opportunity to become more aware and understanding of the differences and similarities within the global community.

Contributors to the project have the opportunity to build a virtual travelogue including: local and national features, places of interest, and those simple wonderful things that are known only to those who dwell there.

Through interaction, youngsters in this global classroom will be enabled to see how our thoughts and actions affect our environment not only locally but globally. The knowledge is being built by young people for young and old alike to assist in widening intercultural and international understanding.

Bilingual students and those learning a second language are invited to write their investigations in both languages, adding a further dimension to their accounts.
