Bruntsfield Primary is a large, city centre primary school that prides itself on its strong co-operative links with parents, its friendly, warm, welcoming atmosphere and its rich and varied curriculum. The school is non-denominational and provides education for both boys and girls from P1 (approximately five years) to P7 (approximately 12 years). Currently there are sixreen classes with a school role of 410 pupils.

Bruntsfield is part of the Boroughmuir High School cluster along with South Morningside and Buckstone Primary. Most of our pupils will transfer to Boroughmuir after completing P7.

Bruntsfield is located close to the centre of Edinburgh and draws in children from a variety of cultural backgrounds. Our pupils represent a real cross-section of society, and this makes for a very stimulating and culturally rich school environment.

The school building itself is traditional in design and affords ample space for various activities. It comprises of two large halls, a gymnasium, a swimming pool, two libraries, a music/drama room, a resource room, a computer suite, a Learning Support/ English as an Additional Language room and a medical / meeting room. The school facilities are used widely by community organisations in the evenings and weekends.
