Reiner Knizia might be Germany's most prolific game designer and Wolfgang Kramer might have won more Spiele Des Jahres then everyone else has had hot dinners, but only one German game desginer gave the world Settlers of Catan, and it wasn't either of them. If it's been hard for Teuber to escape it's shadow these last ten years, it's because it's a very long shadow indeed.
