UNO (2-10 Players; 30 Minutes) £4.99
UNO: Extreme (2-10 Players; 30 Minutes) £18.99
Barbershop owner Merle Robbins came up with the idea for this little gem back in 1971, self published it and sold it from his Ohio store. Players race to empty their hands first by matching the card on the top of the discard pile. Simple, addictive gameplay makes it perfect for all the family to pick up and learn. And yes, UNO Extreme is the electronic TV advertised one that spits the cards at you if you're not ready. 5/10, add four points if you've never played a card game before. This week UNO; tomorrow, the world!

Can you escape being implicated for a trouser theft you didn't commit while planting evidence on your fellow players? Who are the police more likely to believe - the Circus Performers or the Mayor? Twist the facts to beat the rap in this great little game that first released the twisted genius of Jiom Doherty onto the world at large. 6/10
