D&D Boardgame (2-5 Players; 60 Minutes) £24.99
D&D Boardgame Expansion (2-6 Players) £14.99
If you've got fond memories of HeroQuest, you'll think you've died and gone to plastic dungeon heaven. Good, clean collaborative fun, and probably the best introduction to D&D style roleplaying there is. Eternal Winter adds in a funky white dragon, wilderness adventures and a 3D tower. 7/10, add a point if you'd rather be playing D&D.

Dante's Inferno: The Boardgame (3-6 Players; 90 Minutes) £24.99
Twilight Creations swapped the plastic zombies for the plastic legions of Hell in this tile based game of sinners attempting to escape eternal damnation. Imagine Settlers of Catan crossed with Zombies and you're half way there! 5/10

Diplomacy (2-7 Players; 360 Minutes) £19.99
Diplomacy: Deluxe Edition (2-7 Players; 360 Minutes) £44.99
On the eve of World War I the great colonial powers jostle for control of Europe. Compared to games like War: Age of Imperialism the range of options each turn might seem limited, but for once the name of the game says it all; the game here is to play your opponents off against each other in order to gain advantage. In that respect, it's never been bettered. 8/10

Doge (3-4 Players; 45 Minutes) £29.99
Another great Venice-based game from Leo Colovini - this is 'the one with the hats'. Gain influence by building palazzo's in the jewel of the Adriatic. But build palazzo's by gaining influence. 6/10

Domaine (2-4 Players; 90 Minutes) £34.99
A Mayfair Games reworking of Klaus Teuber's classic Lowenherz; draw your borders to seize valuable assets, then marshall your knights to defend your new found wealth against the forces of your opponents. 8/10

Dork Tower (3-6 Players; 60 Minutes) £24.99
The adventurers of John Kovalic's comic satire come to life, and set out to slay the wizard in the 3D dork tower itself. 5/10, add three points if you read the comic!

Dos Rios (2-4 Players; 60 Minutes) £34.99
Frankly my dear, I do give a dam. Change the course of your fortunes along with the course of your river in this modular board game of water manipulation and hacienda construction from Mayfair Games. 7/10
Dracula (2 Players; 30 Minutes) £14.99
Will Van Helsing stop his nemesis by finding all his coffins before Dracula has found five victims? Another quick two player diversion from Kosmos. 6/10

E
Elfenland (2-6 Players; 60 Minutes) £29.99
Make your next family vacation the realm of Elfenland, and tour each of the twenty cities by taking troll wagons, elf cycles or riding on the backs of dragons. Alan Moon's Spiele des Jahres winning fantasy transport game is quite simply one of the best family games of all time. Very highly recommended. 9/10

El Grande (2-5 Players; 90 Minutes) £29.99
Deploy your caballeros across the provinces of Spain in an attempt to bully your way to power and influence, Grande style. An exceedingly good Spiele des Jahres winner from Wolfgang Kramer and Richard Ulrich. 10/10

Empire Builder (2-6 Players; 180 Minutes) £24.99
If you thought Railway Rivals was good, but you wanted a lot more complexity, then Empire Builder - Mayfair's flagship crayon based train sim - is the game for you. Building track, delivering goods, expanding networks and drawing on the board. 7/10

Empires of the Ancient World (3-5 Players; 180 Minutes) £24.99
This is Martin Wallace's take on the likes of Civilization; a sprawling trade and military conquest-a-thon, as rival ancient superpowers strive for control of the Meditteranean between 200BC and 200AD. Think Risk with trading or Vinci with combat, and you're half way there. 7/10
Entdecker: Journey to New Horizons (2-4 Players; 90 Minutes) £39.99
Klaus Teuber followed up his discovery of Catan with this game of maritime exploration in the Captain Cook mould. Place tiles to map out an unexplored archipelago, then build settlements, bases or scouts who can reap bonuses by searching the jungles for rare plants. Very flavourful. 8/10
