Spycraft CCG

Operation: Nightfall

What can you say about a card game that combines the design genius of Dave Williams with the story plotting of the uber-talented Pat Kapera? Or one whose playtest team contains such Warlord luminaries as twice Medusan Lord beater Richard Bowers-Dean and Britain's own Sy Hughes? For a start, you can say that game is the Spycraft CCG. After the disappointing foray into Licensed properties that was Initial D, AEG are back on track with what they do best; immersive storylines and innovative card mechanics, coupled with top notch 'Danger Girl' inspired card art. And spies.

Mechanics: With cards depicting Leaders, Agents, Actions and Gear you outfit your teams of spies from one of five unique agencies in a bid to complete Missions. The Spycraft twist is the ability to bluff your opponent by playing some cards face down...

How You Win: Any time you have 20 or more Victory Points from completing missions or you 'retire' your opponent's last leader you've succeeded in your bid for World Domination.

Deck Archetypes: The Shadow Patriots are your standard mission capable Bond style agents who go for a VP win, ex-cold warriors the Krypt are the most highly resourced, the criminal Bloodvine Syndicate tend to swarm an opponent while the Nine Tiger Dynasty is a combat powerhouse. Last but not lease are Banshee.net, who mess with the game environment (which kind of befits a bunch of techno-anarchists when you think about it).

Organised Play: Join our Sniper League in store every Thursday. The first storyline - the Hydra Sanction - is about to kick off as we speak, and Fan Boy Three is jumping in at the deep end as one of the 121 venues world wide who are running it.

Spies Like Us? Double the jeopardy, double the fun, double the Spycraft - AEG's premier action CCG is also available in original RPG flavour.
