Warcry

Cry havoc and release the dogs of war! The cardgame set in the Warhammer Known World is the CCG equivalent of a Chaos Goblin; it's quick, dirty and you never know which way it's going to go. All the Warhammer races are featured, with the Empire, Elves and Dwarves mustering on behalf of the Grand Alliance, and Orcs, Dark Elves and Chaos shambling onto the field to represent the Hordes of Darkness. The latest expansions have brought the 'Your Mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries' Brettonians and Skaven into the mix. So I guess 'Your mother was a hamster' might actually *be* the case!

Mechanics: Taking it's cue from all the best medieval battles, two lines of warriors form across the table with each other and trade blows. Like the 40K CCG, randomness is added by using a virtual six sided 'die' printed on the corner of the cards. But the key to winning is stacking your deck with the best range of movement types (and high printed die numbers) which ain't as easy as it sounds.

How You Win: The last man standing carries the day, usually after about ten to fifteen minutes. Like I said, quick and dirty!

Organised Play: You'll find Warcry being played most Thursday nights at Fan Boy Three.
