The Bat
There once was a bat
Who lived in a flat
Who lived many miles away.
He had a scary cat
That had a funny hat
And always was on his fluffy mat.
He had a friend ghost
Who was called Boo!
Next door there was a neighbour called Pat
Who had a funny cat too!

by Lauren, 8
There was a bat
Once there was a bat
Who wears a funny hat
He wears it every day
And he loved to play
He lived near a ghost
Who was very vost
The bat always gets frightened because
The ghost is so vost.

by Holly, 8
The Black Cat

Who liked to eat bats
She loved to lay on a mat
She lived in a flat.

Who was very keen
To have some sweets!

Another Bat
There was a bat
That lived in a flat
Had a black cat
and a big floppy hat.

If you turn off the light
If you turn off the light
In the dark night
You can see a ghost
Who likes to boast
About how much he likes
To roast toast.
But the most he wants
To hand out the post
In the South Coast
He lives in a flat
With a bat and a cat
but he can't pay for the rent
So he got kicked out!
