Scottish Schools Get Online With t2w
The Scottish Schools get online project recognises how school websites can improve communication across the school community and the role they can play in involving parents. SEED, keen to see more schools developing parent-friendly and informative websites funded a project led by LTScotland called Scottish Schools get Online, its aim: 'to support schools across Scotland in developing high quality websites which offer appropriate information for parents and others.'

After a rigours selection process, they chose t2w as their site building tool and it seems to have worked well for them. In their evaluation, teachers said:
“I have loved every minute of setting up the website. The training has been brilliant, the support great and it's good to get together and share ideas. I really hope you can continue funding so we get continued support, and can add some new schools to the list of "Get Onliners"!”

“It has been great to be part of the pilot schools working on take2theweb. I am supporting other users in the authority, which is beneficial to me as well as it helps reinforce what I've been doing. I have enjoyed being part of the group but regret not being able to attend all the meetings for various reasons.”

“I find take2theweb very addictive and get a lot of enjoyment out of seeing the finished page I've been working on.”

“High - getting published! Actually seeing all those hours of work actually paying off! The school had tried to set up websites before - unsuccessfully - "death by committee" - but in a few weeks I had an up to date, user friendly website on the net for anyone to look at. Pupils use it all the time for revision, parents use it for info. It's great! Low - still not getting picked up by Google. Intuitive Media is on the case though - I don't know what I'd do without them. Every now and again there's a wee glitch - they fix it immediately!”
