Welcome to St George's Singers
We are a busy, energetic and sociable mixed choir, now established as one of the finest choral societies in North West England.
We are overjoyed to be able to say that we have returned to live rehearsals for our 65th season, after an 18-month break. Covid-19 forced us to cancel 55 rehearsals, 7 concerts, 2 choir tours and a Singing Day. All the performing arts have been hit hard by the pandemic, but the Choir is now vaccinated, tested and raring to go. Our return to live music brings you a season of concerts with the WOW factor!
Click here to go to our detailed concerts page. There you will find full information about our next concert, William Walton's Beshazzar's Feast and Ralph Vaughan Williams Five Mystical Songs, at Gorton Monastery on 26th June (and also at Huddersfield Town Hall on Saturday 18th June).
Our annual Singing Day, with Stravinsky's Symphony of Psalms, has been postponed to Saturday April 23rd, to avoid the Covid Omicron surge that we experienced in January. See our Singing Day page for full information.
