MALVERNS 28 - 30 MAY 2011

In 2011 St George's Singers toured the Malverns, the beautiful country that was home to one of our greatest composers, Elgar. The choir were conducted by their Musical Director, Neil Taylor, and accompanied by their regular accompanist, Jeffrey Makinson.
A series of three concerts was given:
Saturday 28 May, 7.30 pm, Pershore Abbey
Sunday 29 May, 4.00 pm, St Michael’s Church, Ledbury
Monday 30 May, 6.00 pm, Malvern Priory
The choir sang a programme of English choral music, including: Parry Songs of Farewell Finzi Lo, the full, final sacrifice Holst Two Psalms |
