Africa Week - Lions of Zululand

African Drumming
|
|

Road Safety Year 3
|
|
Year 3 have taken part in Kerbcraft (road safety course) with Middlesbrough Council.

Flex and Stretch
|
Coaches from Middlesbrough Football Club came in to do Flex and Stretch with Key Stage 1 children. The children had a wonderful time. Roary the lion came in to help when it was Year 1's session.

Sinbad the Sailor
|
|
The West Midland Children's Theatre Company performed 'Sinbad the Sailor' to the Foundation and Key Stage 1 children. Some of the children got a chance to do some acting.

Ice Skating
|
The school hall was turned into an ice-skating rink for the day. The children had a lovely time.

Jeff Rich (Drummer ex Status Quo)
|
|
Jeff Rich came into school for the morning to tell us about the history of drums and he played the drums for us. Everybody had a turn at playing an instrument. It was a fantastic morning.

|

We now have two beautiful murals, which hae been painted by an artist called Katy Hudson, who is a former pupil. Some of the pupils in lower school helped Katy to do some of the painting.

Digital Video Awards
|
|
Reception and Year 3 children were invited to the Digital Video Awards evening with their teachers. The school was presented with a trophy for its excellent work in Digital Media. Everyone had a lovely evening.
