Mrs Whiteford's
classes  have had lots of fun learning about lots of different things.
(Sorry not good at taking photos.)

P2/1 have finished learning about the Creation story but not before promising that we would try our best to REDUCE, RECYCLE and REUSE to help to take care of the world we live in. We are now thinking about some of the stories Muhammad told and what they mean for Muslims.

As well as practising for our Olympic Sports Day P2 are having fun investigating toys and particularly how they move. We have made investigator badges so that we can look and think about things well.
P3/2 are still thinking about special people and enjoyed learning about Abraham last term and the difficult issues the story raised. What is it like to leave a place? Why is it important to keep promises and be obedient?

P3 have had a great time investigating materials, building and making and most recently discovering about electricity and circuits through our "Crumpoles Go Camping" topic. We have even managed to wire up our games. They light up when you get the right answer.
P4 had great fun learning about water and particularly enjoyed learning about floating and sinking through doing experiments. We are now learning about the Jewish festival of Shabbat and have been making models of special items found on the Shabbat table.

P5/4 are still getting trying to get their tongues round the new French words and succeeding well. Weather ones at the moment and then on to learn how the French say the names of some countries for the Olympic topic. In science we are having fun dissolving, filtering and trying out science equipment as we learn about solutions.
At the end of their electricity topic P6/5 used their knowledge to make steadiness testers. We used them at Parents Night for people to test how steady their hands were. It varied a lot. Some ate us out of sweets!! We managed to raise over £36 towards the school Purple Mash Licence by doing this.

P6 also tried to use their new found knowledge of circuits to light up the set for their film productions. Unfortunately the technicalities proved too difficult for it to happen on the night. A lighting up lamppost would have been a great effect!!

P6/5 and P6 will now be learning about the Muslim prophet Muhammad as well as continuing with PE in P6 and French in P6/5.
