Bothwell Primary School is one of 124 primary schools throughout South Lanarkshire Council.
South Lanarkshire Council is the fifth largest authority in Scotland. It covers the following main areas; Clydesdale in the South which features extensive rural areas, Cambuslang, Rutherglen, Blantyre and Uddingston to the North as well as the towns of East Kilbride and Hamilton.

It is hoped that with your support and the support of other parents, that the school can work together in creating an environment where children can learn and develop.

We are part of the Uddingston Learning Community, which has Uddingston Grammar, Muiredge Primary and ourselves. The Head of our Learning Community is Mrs Isobel MacDougall.

It is hoped that with the support of all our parents/carers the school can work together in an environment where children can learn and develop lifelong skills.

We believe we have key responsibilities to provide our pupils with the skills to
take a full place in this changing world, where new technologies will daily create new challenges and opportunities.

Our curriculum has breadth and balance across its various elements to enable the pupils:

 to make best use of their potential.
