Scotland - Malawi Day
Mrs Craig and Mrs Gibson organised a Scotland-Malawi day for the whole school. We had visitors from Mary's Meals and Street Child come in to speak to the different classes. Mr Gillhouly came in and did some games with each class. Mrs Gibson showed pictures from Malawi and used the quizdom with some of the classes. The parents came in in the afternoon to see what we were doing.
Parents came in to watch Mrs Gibson with primary four and five, Mr Gilhoully in the hall and the visitor from Street Child with primaries 1 - 3.
We tried popcorn since that is made of corn which is maize. They eat this a lot in Malawi, especially with their porridge, which is called nsima.
