We start school at 9am and finish at 3.20pm.
Our lunch break is from 12.10 - 1.10pm.
C.A.P.E.R. (Children and Parents Enjoy Reading) is on a Monday morning for P1, P2 and P3. This is when we can go to choose a book to read at home. We can change it every Monday as long as we bring the other book back. When we read 10 books we get a certificate.
Each class in the school have blocks of time where they may have P.E. Music or Art with Specialist Teachers. Mrs Armstrong takes P.E.on Monday or Wednesday, Mrs Duff takes Music on Tuesday and Ms Carse takes Art on Thursday. It will be written in the Home/School Diary when it is our turn for each subject. So there will be no excuse for forgetting shorts, art shirts etc.
We get some homework in P2 and this is usually as follows:
Number - given as required. We have to learn our number bonds to 20 so that we are good at these sums mentally.
Phonics - given on most Mondays and due back for Friday when we will get a spelling test on our words.
Reading pages will be written in diaries.
From time to time we may be given a homework task connected with our topic.
