Our school motto is 'Aim High' so we all have our own learning target on hot air balloons.

P7 has 29 pupils in the class this year. It is an extremely busy year with the children being involved in a wide range of activities both in and out of the school.
As well as school organised trips such as trips to York and Stronord Outdoor Activity Centre the children also benefit from regional activities such as swimming lessons, cycling proficiency and Operation Safety.
Currently we are organising a mini-olympics which the whole school will take part in.
The "Buddy" system in school works extremely well with the P7 children being paired up with a P1 pupil. They are then a familiar face in the playground if they need help. P7 children have written stories for their "buddies" at Christmas and often visit P1 just to say "Hello" and play.
P7 children move on to Lockerbie Academy as their catchment secondary school. The transition programme includes visits from guidance staff and one week's visit to the school in June.
The emphasis in P7 is on becoming a good independent learner, having increased responsibility and roles throughout the school and preparing the children for life after Primary.
