We are keen to encourage healthy eating so milk and water will be offered to the children to drink. Snacks will include fruit - fresh and dried, raw vegetables, dips, cheese, yoghurt, crisps crackers and bread.
The children will be encouraged to help prepare the snack, lay and clear the table and on occasions help to bake.
Donations
We are very grateful for your contribution to our snack/incidental expenses fund. Donations can be paid weekly or termly, at the rate of 30p per session.

Nursery Library
The Nursery operates a lending library. Children are free to select a new book as often as they wish. By sharing a book together, you can help your child to associate reading with a pleasurable experience. This will stand your child in good stead when he/she learns to read.
Outings
When the opportunity arises we like to take the children on outings. These can be as simple as shopping for the Nursery, visiting the park or a group visit e.g. a wood, a garden centre, the library etc. The children will be closely supervised and where transport is involved (pre-schoolers only) permission will be sought beforehand.

Clothing
Play clothes should be practical and comfortable and prevent anxiety about getting in a mess. Please make it easy for your child to go to the toilet - jeans and dungarees can be difficult, elasticated waists (joggers) are perfect.
Since the children have free access to the sinks and water trays, long sleeved T-shirts/jumpers are impractical.
A short sleeved T-shirt under a jumper is best.
Indoor shoes (not slippers) should be provided and kept in a shoe bag. Outdoor and indoor shoes should be marked with the children’s name. Little children can become very distressed when they are unable to locate their own footwear.
