Pop Lacrosse Club

A Pop Lacrosse Club is held in the Lochmaben Community Centre from 3.30 - 4.30pm on Wednesdays. The Club is open primarily for pupils of P6 and P7 and, depending on numbers, P5 pupils. The School Lacrosse Teams take part in mini leagues with teams from other primary schools. They also take part in tournaments in the summer term. We have had great success at Pop Lacrosse.
In our first year of competition we won the under 11 years Scottish Championships and represented Scotland at the UK Championships in Manchester.
We also won the Scottish Open Pop Lacrosse Championship in 2005.
In April 2007 we won the Scottish Open Pop Lacrosse Championships which were held in the Kelvin Hall in Glasgow. We beat James Gillespie Primary School of Edinburgh in a thrilling final.
The children at Lochmaben seem to have a real talent for Lacrosse.
