At Robert Owen, we had been thinking about a school website for some time but were unsure of how to go about setting it up. So when we were given the opportunity to joining the Scottish Schools get Online Project we jumped at the chance. Primarily we see the website as an essential tool in promoting and enhancing communication with our parents. We distributed questionnaires to all of our 180 families. The response was overwhelming with over 80% returning questionnaires. Any doubts we had about parents using the website were well and truly put to rest. Ideas from parents were numerous and sometimes the results were not as expected. Working together with our parents has ensured that our website will go from strength to strength as will our home/school partnership.
