3. Choose a layout for your page
If you are not already in Page Editor, click edit page. You will be taken to your private Page Editor area.

First you need to choose a Page Layout. The box near the top of the screen has a thumbnail of the current Page Layout, with the template name beneath it.

The design of the thumbnail shows, in miniature, the layout of the template.

If you are happy with it - go straight to Add text.
To choose a different, template, click on the thumbnail. You will see a floating selection box, showing the 6 main templates. As you rollover them you will see their descriptions:

Flexible Grid - create a flexible grid up to 20 rows x 25 columns, with text and images in each cell. Columns can be merged horizontally. You can add a coloured border, set the spacing between columns and border size. This layout can be used to create almost any page format you choose. For the simplest layout, use just one column.

Slide Show - create a slide show using up to 100 images. You can set the length of time each slide is displayed and their position on the page.

Quick Links - display up to 20 website links with associated images and captions

Multimedia File Upload - add up to 20 files of almost any type for your visitors to download, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MP3, Video and Flash

Feedback Form - create a form with up to 30 fields to capture data from your visitors - useful for enquiries, orders, surveys. You can set required fields (questions that must be answered) and send your visitors to a designated page (eg a thank you page) once they have submitted the form.

Inline Frame (iFrame) - a specialist Layout that enables you to display another website within the page. Useful for governing bodies who wish to have information displayed within your website, or for providing a portal to other sites for you users.

More information on Templates

You can change the layout of a page after you have started editing it, but beware that some of your content may be lost so its a good idea to save the content elsewhere just in case.

So... choose your template and go to Add text.
