CCF Uniform
Introduction to CCF Uniform
The CCF loans the majority of clothing and equipment to cadets free of charge. In return cadets are expected to take good care of their uniform. The clothing and equipment loaned to cadets is supplied by the Contingent’s Parent Establishments and is either new or in grade one condition. It is expected that from time to time cadets will need to exchange items of uniform either due to growth spurts or through fair wear and tear. Cadets that lose items of uniform or do not return their uniform on leaving the CCF will be charged for the cost of replacing the items. Exchanges can be made at the CCF HQ Clothing Stores on Monday lunchtimes and Wednesday after-school.

How to Polish Your Boots
A Cadet’s boots should always be clean and polished. To polish your boots you will need the following:

• 2 brushes (1 hard bristle and 1 soft bristle brush)
• Tin of black boot polish (with approx 5mm of water in the lid of the tin)
• A clean duster
• Time - this is not a 5 minute job!

Use the hard brush to ensure there is no dirt or dust on the boots. Then using the hard brush apply the polish to the whole boot. Leave the boots to dry for at least 10 minutes before using the soft brush to remove the excess polish.

With your clean duster wrapped round your forefinger you then proceed as follows - dip your duster into the polish and rub in small circles on the toes and heels of the boot until you start to get a shine, dip duster in water to dampen cloth (do not make it soaking wet) and keep applying more polish as directed above until the toes and heels of the boots are shining bright.
