Neil has been our Director of Music since 2006. We have had so very many memorable performances with him that it is becoming difficult to choose our favourites! He is a wonderful interpreter of choral music, making the music engaging and fresh for both the choir and our audiences. You can experience the enjoyment and exhilaration of making music with Neil for yourself by coming to our singing day each January. It will be a sell-out (it always is!) so click on the Singing Day link and apply now. |

Bach St John Passion
Conductor Neil Taylor Accompanist Pete Durrant
with Baroque in the North
Bach's masterpiece: Few classical works have the urgency and dramatic immediacy of Bach’s St John Passion, which takes you on an emotional roller-coaster, swept in by the beauty of the opening chorus, racked by haunting solos, frightened by vicious crowd scenes and soothed by sublime music of gentle reflection and meditation.
